Staff
Eva and Mel Stehelin own Hidden Valley Bed and Breakfast. They’ve lived in the Yukon for 50 years and raised their family here. Guests enjoy visiting with Mel and Eva and their family (when they come to visit), and hearing about their exciting Yukon adventures.
Scott and Tara manage the B&B. Scott is a chef who specializes in cooking with whole foods and organic ingredients. He is happy to cater to your specific dietary needs. Tara is the first guest liaison you’ll come in contact with when you book, and the concierge. Her main focus is helping you make this the best vacation ever!
Joanne is the hostess who runs the B&B when Scott and Tara are away. She specializes in French cooking, and will pamper you while you’re here.
Cleanliness
We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the rooms and house.
Location
HVBB is on 55 acres of land. The landscape is a mixture of forest and cultivated gardens. Eva is a master gardener; and the gardens are nothing short of spectacular in the summer!
One big draw in the winter is that there are no ambient lights around the property; which makes HVBB the perfect place to view the Northern Lights. We are approximately 15-20 minutes from the heart of downtown, 15 minutes from the airport, and 10 minutes from the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Pools.
Facilities
Hidden Valley B&B is set up perfectly for events and meetings. We offer free Wi-Fi so our guests can stay connected when they need to. But who wants to be connected when you’re in paradise? The house and property are beautiful and tranquil; and provide the space you need to unplug and unwind.There is plenty of free parking with plug-ins for your vehicle in winter.

Comfort
In your bedroom, you’ll find a comfy bed (or two), quality linens and pillows, and robes. Each guest bathroom has fluffy towels, a hair dryer, great showers with lots of hot water and shampoo, body wash and soap.
The house has happy, calm energy that lends itself to relaxation. You will find several seating areas on the main floor, so you can mingle with other guests, or find your own private space—there is room for both.
The kitchen is large and inviting, with enough space for several guests to cook at the same time.
Value for Money
Our rates are in line, if not lower, than many downtown properties.
Your rate includes: your bedroom and private bathroom; a two-course hot breakfast; use of the laundry; use of the main floor; use of the kitchen; a hot tub and access to the grounds. Oh yeah, and pets stay free of charge!
